(no subject)

OK, so we all know that i have OCD, but did you know that i am also a fine handyman type person? Spent the evenings last week slowly unloading the entire collection of leather magazines, books, pins, and whatever else was located in my home office.

Seems that I decided that the two full bookcases was not enough, so I decided its time to start filling another 2 bookcases. So, fresh paint, changing of electrical plugs (replacing the 2 hole plugs with the newer 3 hole outlets) and then crawling under the house to relocate network cables, before finally shifting the furniture into its new position.

Then its a million wires to reconnect and miraculously, my network actually worked when i turned it back on. Woo Hooo. Miracles do happen~!!!!!

Now this week its cutting and sanding and staining the lumber I bought to construct the 2 new bookcases. Tomorrow or thursday I will assemble them and get them inside to their new home. Happiness is more storage room for my mess.

So, thats what I have been up to lately. Sounds really exciting huh?

Now If I could only find the right woman that is willing to pay me for the stuff i do. Oh Well, guess that's in my next lifetime. But wait, that cant be right, I plan on coming back as a housecat an

Patiently Awaiting the Verdict

After a rough week and an attempt to get to bed early last night, I got a phone call from Stewart Siegel around 9:15 or so. When I answered I got this loud "Congratulations!" After asking, what are you congratulating me for, Stewart informed me that I had been selected as the Florida Region Pantheon recipient. Oh WOW. I was floored and wasnt sure exactly what to say. Luckily I had asked Earl Coffman to accept it for me if by some slim chance I had won since i was not able to attend because of work.

I found out this morning that Pandora was chosen Woman of the Year but I have yet to find out who were awarded the other awards. I know I will eventually get a hold of the complete list, but little ole impatient me, wants to update the website with the new winners. So instead of updating this years Pantheon recipients, at least I have had something to work on to keep me busy. Not only watching ebay as par for the course, but it looks like I will finally get the rest of the table of contents for all the drummer magazines uploaded to the site. Tiresome and boring after doing over 200 of them but it needs to be completed.

After Chris donated several large boxes of materials to me about 2 weeks ago, i have been sitting in my office trying to figure out a way that I can increase my storage space. Finally figured it out but at the sacrifice of my love seat that I had in my office area. So, one long wall and one short wall will soon house my computer desk and work area and the other 2 large walls will house new bookshelves to hold my collection of leather history items. I told BJ this afternoon, that when I finish re-constructing the office, i could no longer call it an office. It must be called a library because that is what it has become over the years.

So, got out my notepad, made my measurements, got the list in my head of what I will need and what will need to be done. Perhaps next weekend, I will start on it. Called Ray and donated the loveseat to his art gallery and he and Devin came and got that, so now my office looks really wierd with no love seat after 2 years.

Why couldnt I collect something small like coins or something? Guess it just wasnt meant to be.

Time Out

I so desperately need a time out. Work has been hell lately, chores are going to hell in a handbasket and I dont have the time to do the things I want to do. When I manage to leave work, I am exhausted and all I want to do is sleep, so the rest of my life is suffering. I wanna go back to my retired days of life! Unfortunatley, I think I am stuck in the working world for quite along time.

Oh well, tomorrow is another day. Maybe I can feel like I have accomplished something.

Going Home

Am looking forward to going home this weekend. Not sure who all will be there but it will be nice to be among my family once again. Things here at home sure dont seem to have the greenest grass, even though Im sure the grass is not really greener on the other side either. BUT, will be nice to have some different scenery.
